FAQ

What is the best method for heating a BayShore bag of bisque, chowder or soup?

HEATING INSTRUCTIONS:

Stove top: The best way to heat your frozen bag of bisque, chowder or soup is to place the unopened bag in rapidly boiling water for approximately 20 minutes or until internal temp reaches 165 degrees F. Stir bag in water occasionally with a pair of tongs to avoid sticking to the bottom of the pot. Carefully remove the bag from the boiling water using a pair of tongs. Cut the top of the bag open halfway and pour the contents into your serving bowl or crockpot (For best results, hold and serve at 150 degrees F). Remember…the contents will be very hot. Use caution to avoid spilling or splattering the soup to prevent burns.

The same applies to a refrigerated bag of soup – only heat it for 10 minutes rather than the 20 minutes recommended for frozen bags.

Do not microwave our bags of soup. Please follow the above boil-in-bag instructions.

Is the shrimp used in your Shrimp & Corn Chowder farm-raised or wild caught?

The shrimp used in our products is sourced globally from India, Indonesia, Thailand, United States, and Vietnam. We do not call out the specific fishing region on our packaging due to sourcing from multiple global geographies and the shrimp is used in multiple Blount items.

Is there sherry or alcohol in Bay Shore Lobster Bisque or Crab Bisque?
